Kurt has been the Director since January 1, 2005. He is a Licensed Addiction Counselor, Licensed Social Worker and has a Master's in Management. Kurt has worked in the field for eight years. He is newly wed and will celebrate his first anniversary on October 15, 2006. (This also happens to be Heartview's anniversary - 42 years!) |

Administrative
Carol Bullinger graduated from Bismarck Junior College with an Associate Degree and Medical Records Secretary certificate in May of 1967. She began employment at Heartview Foundation on June 1, 1967, as a Medical Secretary. She was promoted to the position of Administrative Assistant in 1972 and has served in that position to the present time.
Carol's present duties are:
- Recording minutes for the Heartview Board of Directors, P.A.T. Board and clinical and administrative meetings.
- Schedule intakes.
- Transcribe dictation from the clinical staff.
- Receptionist.

Administrative
Dr. Johnson has been involved with Heartview since the inception. He served on the Medical Advisory Board from the very beginning of Heartview until he began serving on the Board of Directors in 1979 to the present. He was named the Medical Director in 1996 and served without pay for one year. He continues as our Medical Director to this day. Dr. Johnson oversees the weekly multidisciplinary staffing on Medicaid patients along with all transfers and discharges from the facility. Dr. Johnson's service and commitment to Heartview is unparalleled. |

Nursing
Marvis has been a chemical dependency nurse with Heartview since 1971. She is considered to be one of the foremost experts in the State of North Dakota for Social Setting Detox. Marvis is responsible for nursing issues, HIV testing/education, drug and alcohol testing, medical records, DUI seminars, nursing staff and UND medical students. Her job duties are too numerous to list and she is invaluable to our services. |

Clinical Staff
Dr. Peterson worked at Heartview in the adult and adolescent units providing psychological services from 1984 to 1996. He returned to Heartview as a consulting psychologist in January of 1999. He attends multidisciplinary staff for the Partial Hospitalization Program and the Intensive Outpatient Day Program. He continues to provide consultation services and his expertise, insights and knowledge are appreciated and valued. |

Administrative
For 21 years prior to coming to Heartivew, Janice coordinated services and managed a staff of 45 at five Bismarck group homes for persons with disabilities. In addition to her job at Heartview, she continues to be a community tracker for children at risk through Lutheran Social Services. |

Business Office
Ruby is a native of Hettinger, North Dakota, where she graduated from high school. She was previously employed at Hillcrest Care Center in Hettinger as Business Office Manager, resigning in 1992 to move to Bismarck to accept a position at Heartview Foundation, starting December 1, 1992. She was hired as Insurance Clerk and moved into the position of Business Office Manager in October of 1994, a position she currently holds. Her duties include, but are not limited to:
- Accounts Payable
- Payroll Supervisor
- Insurance Billings, especially Blue Cross and Medicaid
- Financial Reports

Business Office
Myra started at Heartview April 1, 1976. She bills patients and insurance companies for services. She has the difficult position of asking for reimbursement for something we all wish we could give away. This thankless position is undervalued and is not adequately recognized. Myra is a trooper and understands that what we offer here at Heartview is extremely valuable. Her other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Accounts Receivable

Counseling
Beverly Aichele attended the University of Mary and graduated from addiction training in 1983. She has been employed for the past 23 years as an addiction counselor at Heartview Foundation, North Dakota Youth Correction Center and again at Heartview Foundation on a contract basis.
Her duties at Heartview include facilitating aftercare groups, individual counseling and doing evaluations. |

Counseling
Jean Hodges completed a two-year training program at Heartview Foundation in 1979. She has worked in several positions at Heartview Foundation over the years. She is currently involved in the family program and patient assessments. Jean is the Senior Counselor and assists with program management. She completed her academics at the University of Mary. She is licensed by the State of North Dakota and has her national certification as an Addiction Counselor II.
